Element Dance Company’s audition took place last week. We have two new members on board, which we will introduce to you later on in 2012. The Element family is growing in talent!!

LONDON NEWS:

SHOWS:
Element Dance Company performed last week at Floridita with 8 gorgeous dancers.

ELEMENT DANCE UPCOMING SHOWS:
- 4th February: Travel Exhibition - Barbican
- 18th February: We will be performing our new salsa show for a charity at the University of Birmingham
- 9 th March: MOVE IT – Kensington Olympia. Starts at 12:00 noon

LEEDS NEWS:
EDC Assistant Director Dani, and Chris are flying to Rio de Janeiro next week to refresh their dance skills, train intensively in the heart of Samba, and of course experience the CARNAVAL!!

LEEDS CLASSES:
Zumba classes are still on at the following days and venues:
Tuesdays- Leeds- Zumba at Pudsey Civic Hall
Thursdays- Leeds- Zumba at Yorkshire Dance

ELEMENT RECOMMENDS:
Embodied Dancer Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training 2012:
This unique teacher training, the first of its kind in the UK will
offer not only a rigorous foundational yoga training, but a unique
curriculum entitled Embodied Dancer. If you are already a dance
professional, physiotherapist, movement practitioner or an experienced
yoga teacher who wants to develop into the specialised area of working
with dancers and performers.  then this is the course for you.
The course is fully accredited by the Yoga Alliance (UK) and while
fulfilillng the 200 hours basic format will exceed this in depth of
practice and study - 315 hours - making it perfect if you are already
qualified at the 200 hour level and wish to proceed to 500 hours.
Additional accreditation is currently being explored from a number of
dance organisations.
The course draws on the faculty’s broad knowledge base ranging from:
somatic practices,  contemporary dance to yoga philosophy and embodied
anatomy.  All of us participating as teachers are highly experienced
and have been practising and teaching yoga for many years. My
intention is to generate a community of highly-skilled yoga
practitioners, many of whom will have been working with movement and
dance for many years, who are interested in supporting dancers or
performers in their art form.
